A new theme called Anaconda has recently been released and it is perhaps the most complete theme design that I have come across in a while.

Anaconda is a flexible, 3 column Wordpress theme which is designed entirely using CSS. The middle column and left sidebar are flexible and adjusts to browser size. The theme is also SEO optimized! It seems my search for a good CSS based, 3 column WordPress theme is finally over!

You can place any of the above onto one of your sidebars by simply dragging and dropping them from your Sidebar Widgets control panel under the Presentation menu.

Configuration

The Anaconda Theme will work, without any configuration, right out of the box. However, it has been designed to be extensively customizable for those who need it. Customizations can be easily done using the Anaconda Options control panel in the Presentation theme menu. The theme has built-in support for inline and sidebar asides. It also supports Ajax commenting, Live search, fixed width layout if required.

Conclusion & Download

This has to be one of the best themes I have seen this year and it is a likely contender to replace the current theme of this blog!

Pilkster has just released a new theme called SEO Adsense Ready for Wordpress. This theme follows on from the last post which featured the Adsense Ready Theme which was also created by Pilkster.

This new theme features a full Adsense integration and also generates search engine friendly web pages! At first glance the theme may look a little basic as there are no header images or any other kind of graphics. But, this theme is focused on being search engine friendly and you have to remember that using images has very little SEO benefit!

Search Engine Friendly Webpages

The theme implements several search engine optimization (SEO) techniques, such as;

• the ‘title’ and ‘h1′ tags contain the most relevant information
• on a post page, the post title is used,
• on a category the category title is used… etc.

This should give Search Engines a better understanding of your page, and so improve your ranking for that page. Also, instead of your websites name (eg. BlogCarta.com) being used in every result, the page title or category title will be used. This is a much more useful and appealing result for search engines.

Integrated Adsense Configuration

Adsense integration includes 3 ad units per page and 1 link unit, the maximum Google allows. The theme also includes Adsense for Search instead of the standard Wordpress search. The only customization required is to change the adsense pub-id number in the following files;

• footer.php - ( 728×90 Ad Unit )
• header.php - ( 728×15 Link Unit )
• searchform.php - ( Adsense for Search )
• sidebar.php - ( 336×280 Ad Unit ) and ( 160×600 Ad Unit )

This is another great theme by pilkster as it can be used for an instant seo friendly, adsense website or as the basic building block for a whole new website design.

A cool new Wordpress theme called Adsense Boqpod has been released which is ideal for people who would like to have a instant Adsense website, with a pre-configured Adsense layout and where all you have to do is simply to insert your own Adsense publisher ID into the theme files. The theme includes the Adsense code for adunits, adlinks and the google sitesearch.

The theme is originally based on the theme Green Boqpod from Hardi P. Hardi P had included a .psd file for the header and footer images, for the Green Boqpod theme, which made it really easy to modify.

With the new modifications made by pilkster, Adsense Boqpod is now a full Adsense Ready theme that you can download and get to use straight away.
