The new WordPress 2.3 will be released in a few short days and it will have loads of new features that will surely make you want to upgrade right away. Some of the new features will include automatic plugin updates as well as the long awaited built-in support for Tags.
Matt, over at the WordPress Development Blog, has just released some ideas that will help you prepare for this major new release of WordPress 2.3. The following is a small list of some of the things you can do to help prepare for the big upgrade on Monday;
Have Fun!
BlogRush is John Reese’s new viral marketing widget that generates traffic to your blog by cross-promoting your blog content with other BlogRush.com members blogs. Imagine your blog being displayed on hundreds or perhaps thousands of other blogs in your niche and related sites in the BlogRush network. That’s awesome linking power!
BlogRush is a great idea and it’s been designed from the ground up especially for bloggers. Blog Rush is completely free service and it only takes 30 seconds to signup.
Well, basically it’s a blog syndication network. It’s is a new twist on the old idea of Traffic Exchanges which are used to generate traffic to websites. The idea is to display a widget on your blog which will display headlines from other similar blogs. Likewise, as you display these headlines, your blog will feature on other users blogs. BlogRush will give you full control over which blogs will link to your content. These incoming links are what it is all about. More incoming links means more traffic!
It is very easy to install this widget on your blog. Once you have signed up with BlogRush, simply go to the Get Code section and copy the supplied JavaScript code to a text document or just highlight & copy the code and then login to your WordPress blog. Go to Presentation, then widgets ( or Sidebar Widgets if using an earlier version of wordpress). Next, drag & drop a text widget onto the sidebar and then click on it to add the code. When the popup window opens, paste in the code, close the popup and then click Save. And that’s it! You should now have the BlogRush widget installed and visible on your blog. It’s that easy!
BlogRush is brand new, it just went online today but it’s already creating quite a buzz. It might be a good time to get in early and benefit from the possible explosive growth that this widget is likely to generate. The possibility of having hundreds or thousands of incoming links is just too good to miss!

There is no doubt that the All In One SEO Pack for WordPress is the ultimate SEO Plugin that you have been waiting for. The plugin has undergone many updates since I first blogged about the benefits of this plugin in a previous post and it just keeps on getting better and better!
I love it!
Because this plugin has been updated so often, there has been a small bit of confusion about the exact download location for it. The latest version of the plugin can be downloaded from here, and it is well worth checking the creators blog page here; All In One SEO Pack for WordPress, which features the latest news about updated versions.
And now Tubetorial has just released a new All In One SEO Pack Video Tutorial about this great plugin. The video is Part 1 of a brand new 7-Part series called “7 Must Have Killer Plugins”. I would definitely agreed that the All In One SEO Pack should be first and the tutorial is sure to be of use to those that may be discovering this plugin for the first time, or even those that have been using it for a while and would just like to see what new features have been added recently. A great tutorial and I’m already looking forward to the other 6 videos in this series.
