The Regal Theme has recently been updated to version 1.8. It is a nice, clean WordPress theme with an optional magazine layout with two columns.

It is a fixed width theme and of course, is widget ready. The theme has valid CSS and valid XHTML and is compatible with wordpress 2.9.2+.

DesignDisease have just released another great wordpress theme for you to use. It’s called Tipz Theme and has a lot of nice features in it. One great feature of this theme is the logo changer. You can use your default blog name or you can use your own logo. To use your own you can upload your logo in the root folder of Tipz theme and name it logo.png or you can use the logo.psd as a template to create one.

The theme has rounded corners, which give it a simple Web 2.0 feel and it is fully widgetized. The front page has an easy to use “featured post” section so you can easily put on display your best posts. You can even put in a picture and a post excerpt to accompany the headline by editing the feature-image custom field and setting the category to “Featured”.

iThemes.com has just released the first of its free, professionally designed WordPress themes to the WP community!

The 2 themes released are both called iThemes Web 2.0, and the reason is that this theme comes in two flavors, either a 2-column or a 3-column design. The really great part is that both of these themes are widget-ready and compatible with the latest version of WordPress (2.3.2).

The people at BlueVerse.com have just released a new theme which firmly focuses on monetization of your WordPress blog.

The theme is called Weblogger and is fully Adsense ready with a nice Web 2.0 look and feel. The side bars are well done and widget ready too which makes it easy to expand your blog with extra monetization code if required.

According to the website this theme does a lot of the monetization for you and just by installing it your blog will be nearly 40% monetized! The Adsense integration is great because the theme is designed to get your visitor’s attention in the first load of a page. Zeke 1.0 is a new 3 column, widget-ready WordPress theme designed by Michael Pollock of SoloStream Webstudio. This theme is built to work with all WordPress versions 2.1 and above.

Michael has a demo site available here and the theme can also be downloaded from that demo page or by clicking here.

Zeke 1.0 is very easy to install. As usual, simply unzip the download file. That will give you a folder titled Zeke10 which should contain all the WordPress theme files and then upload this folder to your wp-content/themes blog directory.

A cool feature of this theme is that it has a Featured Articles section which appears above the start of your main posts. To create a Featured Article that looks like the one seen in the picture above, all you have to do is create a post, then create a category called “Featured”, and then place any of your posts into that category. The theme is set up to select and display the most recent Featured Article.

Zeke 1.0 is a very pro-looking WordPress theme that you could have some fun with.

Following my last post I have played around with several more themes from the YGoSearch.com site and I am getting to like the variety and quality of the WordPress themes that they make. The latest one I am experimenting with is called YGo Health and it is a 3 column widget ready theme with a couple of additional navigation sections that makes it look superb.

The header blends nicely in the main content area and the text fonts used are well suited to the theme and easily readable. The most striking thing about this theme is it’s use of color which makes it one of the most eye-catching themes I have come across in a while.

So if you are looking for an eye-grabbing theme for your blog it may be worth checking this one out. Btw, did I mention it’s also widget-ready!
