Theme Features

A nice feature of this theme is the logo changer. You can use the default WordPress setting (“blog name”) or you can use your own logo. To use your own logo you must upload it to the root folder of the Compositio theme and name it logo.png. You can also use the PSD Logo Template in the source folder of Compositio Theme. (Image limitations: Not more than 590px/85px).

To activate the logo option go to: Administration Panel > Appearance > Logo Options, and select logo type.

Other Features

The theme is widget ready and the CSS is customized for the default widgets to match the site style.

The theme does not require plugins as they are already integrated into functions.php, so there is no need to install them. The only plugin you need to install manually is FlickrRSS (included in the theme folder).

The front page shows the latest post with an accompanying large graphic image which helps attract readers more than the usual large text titles. Below the latest post is a list of the 3 other recent posts with each post accompanied by a thumbnail image. Also, the comments and trackbacks are divided to produce a clean and organized look.

Installation

Upload to your wp-content/themes folder as normal. But, before you activate this theme you must go to Settings > Miscellaneous and enter the following values for the Thumbnail size. Width=195, Height=155. And also make sure the “Crop thumbnail…” box is checked

• The Twitter Tools plugin. Install and activate and configure.
• The Advanced Excerpt plugin . Install and activate. Go to the settings and set the Excerpt length to 25 and uncheck the img

The theme has been safely tested on WordPress 2.5 and WordPress 2.5.1. The live demo for the theme is currently being used on Dino’s Blog. You will be able to see the Una theme in action there. Unfortunately Sidebar Widgets is not supported with this version of the Una Theme, but it more than makes up for it with the sidebar’s great usability.

It was created by Design Disease and in true Christmas spirit the theme author created it as a gift to all bloggers around the world.

The theme is really great to look at, with a nice two column design and nice use of blue, white, red and green.

Installation

Once you’ve downloaded the theme and extracted the files, upload the folder to your wp-content/themes/ directory. Then go to the Presentation area in your WordPress administration panel and activate the theme.

Required Plugins

The flickrrss plugin is required for this theme and it is bundled with the theme download in the plugins folder. To install flickrrss simply upload everything in the plugins folder to your wp-content/plugins/ folder and activate the plugins from the Plugins page in your administration panel. The plugin is specially customized to match the Christmas Days theme style.

So, if you are ready to get into the holiday spirit early this year, this theme might just be for you.

An added bonus with this theme is the fact that it is Adsense ready and it has a very professional look and feel about it. The theme is a fixed width one which can be good thing when it comes to heavily configuring your blog later.

Amadeus also has a very Web 2.0 professional look to it with the cool looking RSS and Technorati icons and crisp text fonts.

On the whole, Amadeus is a clean, professional theme which is Google Adsense ready and well worth considering for your blog. Hmmm, come to think of it, I’m kinda tempted to change mine to this one as well.

TypoXP Reloaded is a cleanly coded, two and/or three column, fixed width WordPress theme with valid XHTML. It is also Widget Ready. The theme features both SEO optimization and Google Adsense optimization bulit into the theme which definitely makes the choice of using this theme a whole lot easier,

I believe this theme has to be considered as one of the better WordPress themes yet released.

So, check out the TypoXP Reloaded theme now. It will be worth it. The page also gives details of the huge range of plugins supported by this theme.

PayPal Donate Plugin

The PayPal Donate Plugin adds a small PayPal Donation form on your sidebar. In order to use this plugin with Widget-Ready WordPress Themes, you will need to download the PayPal Donate Widget also. The settings for this plugin can be changed via your blog options page.

How To Install The PayPal Donate Plugin & Widget

• Download PayPal Donate Plugin for WordPress.
• Download PayPal Donate Widget
• Extract the Plugin zip file into your wp-content/plugins/ folder
• Extract The Widget zip and upload paypalwidget.php to your /wp-content/plugins/widget/ directory
• Activate the plugin from inside WordPress (Plugins tab).
• Enter your details in the Options page (make sure you do this)

Download the zip file. Extract and upload the Reodable 1.1 folder to your wp-content/themes folder on your web server. Go to the presentation section in your admin, and select Redoable 1.1. Set your options in the theme options panel. Enjoy.

Redoable 1.1 Theme for Wordpess

WordTube supports the following;

• streaming Video formats .flv and .swf,
• sound files such as MP3
• and also JPG, GIF or PNG picture files.

With WordTube activated in your plugins admin area, you simply insert the tag [MEDIA=ID] into your blog to have it displayed. You can also add a playlist of files when you use the [MYPLAYLIST] tag. You don’t need to change the WYSIWYG mode or have special HTML knowledge to insert such a tag. You can show a single media file (i.e. a flv video) or a playlist of all your media files.

How To Encode A Flash Video

There are several ways to encode your videos so that the can be streamed using the WordTube plugin. You can use the Macromedia (now Adobe) Flash Video Encoder (included in the Stanard installation) or the free version of RIVA FLV Encoder. It’s really easy to encode your Mpeg,Avi or whatever into a flash video (the FLV format).

Installation

Unpack the zip file and upload the folder to your WordPress plugins folder. You will also need the free (for personal use) Flash Media Player plugin from Jeroen Wijering. Download the player from the website and upload the file mediaplayer.swf into the WordTube plugin folder. If you would like to have the Equalizer displayed for MP3s then download the Flash MP3 Player as well. The plugins can now be activated.

Uploading Media Files

You can upload your media files via the Manage->Media Center Upload form or you can manually upload to your blog and select the URL to the file. The file you want to play doesn’t need to be on your server. Note for streaming videos; The Flash player will not show a thumbnail preview so you will need to upload a image thumbnail file. After uploading you can insert the tag [MEDIA=ID] or you show the playlist with the tag [MYPLAYLIST] in your blog.

This is Hoofei’s 4th wordpress theme and they just keep getting better and better. The only slight drawback with this theme is the fact that this theme is not widget-ready. However, when a theme looks this good, it is easy to overcome this by getting creative with the clearly written sidebar.php code.

Installation

As usual, simply extract the hoofeiv4.zip file to your theme directory, wp-content/themes/. Then log in your wordpress Administration Panel and activate the theme.

Integrated Plugins

WP-PageNavi – Hoefei has integrated the WP-PageNavi Plugin by Lester Chan into this theme so you don’t need to download and install it. And don’t worry it will be wrong if you have installed this plugin before, I have renamed the function in plugin code. )

Gravatar 2 – This is an updated version of the original Gravatars plugin by Skippy. Important: You must install this plugin for this theme.
