iFeature is a new free WordPress theme that has been designed by CyberChimps.com. iFeature is a fresh looking theme with an aesthetically pleasing design. Among it’s features includes; an iFeature slider, dynamic header for custom logo, social icons, social sharing features, a contact section, a widgetized sidebar/footer and multiple template choices.

iFeature is one of the more advanced wordpress themes out there at the moment. Its design is very Apple-like with a nice drop-down menu system. CyberChimps have also developed an iFeature Pro theme, it’s a premium version of iFeature that includes a full-width iFeature Slider, multi-color iMenu options, business ready layouts, more widgetized areas, and many of the same user friendly settings that are found in iFeature.

WordPress 3.2 Now Released

WordPress 3.2 is now available to the world, both as an update in your dashboard and a download on WordPress.org. Version 3.2 is all about making WordPress faster and lighter. The first thing you’ll notice when you log in to this new version, is a re-vamped dashboard design that tightens the typography, design, and code behind the admin section.

If you’re starting a new blog, you’ll also appreciate the new, fully HTML5, Twenty Eleven theme, fulfilling the new WordPress team plan to replace the default theme every year now. When you start writing your first post in the new redesigned post editor, you can use the full-screen button in the editing toolbar to enter a new distraction-free writing or Zen Mode. This is a great feature! All of the widgets, menus, buttons, and interface elements fade away to allow you to compose and edit your thoughts in a completely clean environment conducive to writing, but when your mouse strays to the top of the screen your most-used shortcuts are right there where you need them.

Yoko Theme

Yoko is a modern and flexible, three-column WordPress theme. The cool thing about the Yoko theme is that it adjusts itself automatically to different screen sizes, which means the theme is optimized for big desktop screens, tablet pcs like the iPad or even small smartphone screens.

To further customize the theme you can choose your own background, link color, logo and header image. Deep Blue is an amazing new blue style theme for WordPress that has recently been updated to version 1.8. It features a theme options page and it comes with 6 advanced custom widgets, 4 widget areas and almost 40 options for theme tweaking. It’s also full of cool jQuery scripts that make this theme special and, most of all, a great theme to look at.

The custom widgets included in Deep Blue include; Recent posts, popular posts, recent comments, latest tweets, feeds and custom search widget. All these widgets have options for tweaking them to your own preferences. The graphic logo can also be changed from within the theme options page, ie, Theme Option -> Misc -> Text Logo.

The theme is free but there is an option to upgrade by paying $4.95 to get access to extra features, etc.

Aggiornare Theme

The Aggiornare theme was recently released and is built with minimalism in mind but has some decent options in the backend. Aggiornare means ‘to update’ in Italian.

Aggiornare is compatible with WordPress 2.9.2. and possibly earlier versions, although it has not been tested.

The theme is currently at Version 1.0.4 and was designed by GeekDesignGirl & is being used by Denver Web Workshops. It is compatible with WordPress 2.9.2 & has been tested in Firefox, Camino, Safari, Chrome, IE 7, & IE 8. IE 6 is not supported.

Regal WordPress Theme

The Regal Theme has recently been updated to version 1.8. It is a nice, clean WordPress theme with an optional magazine layout with two columns.

It is a fixed width theme and of course, is widget ready. The theme has valid CSS and valid XHTML and is compatible with wordpress 2.9.2+.

Calotropis Theme Is Ready

A great new WordPress theme called Calotropis is now available. The WP theme has a wonderful amount of selectable layout options such as; right or left sidebar or no sidebar, magazine style or traditional style, and many more options.

In fact, it’s hard to believe that this is a free wordpress theme because of all of the theme options that are available, it’s like it’s a premium theme!

The latest 1.1.1 version of the Calotropis Theme has added more new features. A tabbed column widget is included and a new Favicon feature, which means you can set your own desired favicon. If not set, the default favicon used, very handy.
